public art

the art of coolum is both visible and bubbling below the surface.

coolums' first public art project was initiated in 1996 by residents and councillor gerry gordon, resulting in dialogue and controversy.

public art projects as part of the boardwalk, the surf club redevelopment, tickle park and the caravan park fence have all contributed to coolums culture.

the tabs on the left will also lead to the projects.

social art has played a part in that cultural climate, with a big range of community wanting to exercise their creative instinct while architecture and design has contributed to the towns character.
