Coolum School Year 3 Bird Project 2007 Artist - Nicole Voevodin-Cash

This art project proposed a learning experience which would see Nicole working with a Coolum State School year 3 class, their teacher Suellen Fuller and the specialist local ‘twitchers’, Pat Deece and Peg Whiteoak.
Field trips ‘over the fence’ into the neighbouring National Park and along the Boardwalk, viewing and recognising native birds, lead to the drawing workshops.
The final images prepared by the artist became the laser-cut stainless panels mounted inside the pavillion. These panels were powder coated and remounted on ply in 2009.
